DAY ONE: Baby's First Piano Lesson

Dear Piano,
I do not think I will like you very much as a business partner;
you were much better as a friend-with-a-few-extra-benefits-here-and-there.
Numerous are the hours we've spent together,
mucking about,
not doing much of anything.

Those were fun times. I enjoyed them.

The times we had today were not fun times.
All I wanted to do was play a couple of cadences.
Just two or three. Just four or five. Just a few, you know?
I nailed C. I'm decent at G and F. However, would you please be so kind as to teach me the mysteries of Db and E? They're killing me. I felt myself fading this evening as we sat together and you put me through my paces.

It was a distressing day.
Here's to better times ahead.

Be kinder to me tomorrow.
I didn't ask it like a question. Take note of that.

Three lessons. Two weeks. It's like reality TV over here.

I'm going to sleep now, so you take care.
I'll see you at noon.
